June is
Motor Neurone Disease Awareness Month
Dedicated to raising public awareness of Motor Neurone Disease and the work of the Motor Neurone Disease Association.
Stillbirth & Neonatal Death Awareness Month (Sands Awareness Month):
Focuses on increasing awareness of stillbirth and neonatal death and supporting those affected by baby loss.
LGBT Pride Month
Celebrated annually in June to commemorate the Stonewall riots and recognise the impact of LGBT people worldwide. Numerous pride events take place during this month.
Scleroderma Awareness Month
An opportunity to raise awareness about scleroderma, a chronic autoimmune disease affecting connective tissue. Global "Stepping Out to Cure Scleroderma Walks" are held throughout June.
Gypsy, Roma and Traveller History Month (GRTHM):
Aims to celebrate the history and culture of Britain's Gypsy, Roma, and Traveller communities, who have lived in Britain for over 500 years, and to address negative stereotypes and prejudices. This initiative is a partnership between communities and local central government.

International Day of Innocent Children Victims of Aggression
A United Nations observance established in 1982 to acknowlege the pain suffered by children worldwide who are victims of physical, mental, and emotional abuse, reaffirming the UN's commitment to protecting children's rights.
8th June
Race Unity Day (Race Amity Day)
Observed annually on the second Sunday of June, this day, initiated in the United States in 1957 by the Bahá’í National Spiritual Assembly, aims to combat racism by focusing on racial prejudice and promoting racial harmony and understanding.
9th - 15th June
Men's Mental Health Week
This week aims to heighten awareness of preventable health problems and encourage early detection and treatment of disease among men and boys. Wear Blue Day is observed on Friday, June 13th.
12th June
World Day Against Child Labour
A day sanctioned by the International Labour Organisation (ILO) since 2002 to raise awareness and promote activism to prevent child labour.
14th June
Global Wellness Day
Celebrated annually on the second Saturday of June, promoting the importance of well-being. The theme for 2025 is #ReconnectMagenta, emphasising meaningful connections to enhance overall well-being.
World Blood Donor Day
An annual global event to raise awareness of the need for safe blood and blood products and to thank voluntary unpaid blood donors for their life-saving contributions.

World Elder Abuse Awareness Day
A crucial day dedicated to raising awareness about the abuse and neglect experienced by older adults, advocating for their rights and well-being.

Refugee Week & World Refugee Day
This week and designated day raise the profile of mililons of families who have fled their homes due to war or human rights abuses. In the UK, Refugee Week features a nationwide programme of arts, cultural, and educational events celebrating the contributions of refugees and fostering understanding between communities.

Autistic Pride Day
A pride celebration for autistic individuals, recognising the importance of pride in bringing about positive societal changes.
22nd June
UK Windrush Day
Marks the anniversary of the SS Empire Windrush docking in Tilbury in 1948, bringing Caribbean migrants to the United Kingdom. Established in 2018, this day encourages communities to celebrate the contributions of the Windrush Generation and their descendants.
23rd June
National Women in Engineering Day (International Women in Engineering Day)
A global celebration honouring women in engineering, raising their profile, and highlighting their contributions to the field. This day coincides with the anniversary of the Women's Engineering Society (WES), established on June 23, 1919, and is recognised by UNESCO.
